    Witch Hats

The hubby and I decided to make a bunch of fun treats for Halloween. I hate Halloween. But I love dessert. So yeah. Circular fudge cookies Hershey kisses Plastic baggie, corner clipped A small amount of frosting - colored with food coloring Frosting powdered sugar milk Line up all of your cookies. Unwrap all your kisses; keep them in a little bowl next to the cookies. Scoop your frosting into the baggie, and begin. Pipe a pearl-sized drop of frosting in the middle of each coo

    Mummies

Husband and I made these for Halloween this year. Twinkies Candy eyes (found at a local cake store 5¢ each) Red hots Frosting Fondant Unwrap all of your Twinkies. Roll out your fondant and use a pizza cutter to make thin but long strips. Dab a bit of frosting on the bottom, where you will start wrapping the fondant. Wrap up the mummies, using more frosting as glue. The backs of the Twinkies don't need to be fully wrapped. I found it helpful to make a rounded piece for the top

Apple Pie (Baked in the Apples!)

This is a really cute idea for entertaining. 5 to 6 granny smith apples 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup sugar 1 tbsp brown sugar pie crust Preheat oven to 375˚. Cut the top of 4 apples off and discard. Remove the inside of each apple with a spoon or melon baller very carefully, as to not puncture the peel. Salvage as much as you can so you can use it for the next step. This recipe will make 4 baked apple pies (in the apple). Remove skin from remaining apple(s) and slice very thinly.

    Oat-Topped Sweet Potato Crisp

I offered to bring this recipe for Thanksgiving once and now we have it every year. It is a requirement. A very good way to enjoy your sweet potatoes. It's practically a dessert. I like that you can put more apples or pears depending on how you like it. It's a flexible dish. And add more sweet potatoes if you need to stretch it to serve more people. You can put the pecans in with the fruit or with the topping. I once accidentally left out the quick oats and it was still fine.
