A friend of mine recommended that I use homemade silver polish instead of buying any. So here's the recipe.
Baking Soda
Water
That's it! Get a dish towel and cover your workspace. Put out your silver that needs polishing. Grab an old toothbrush and get to work. I clean by hand or with my toothbrush and then let them sit for a while. Sometimes I rinse in water and then rub with a drying towel (flour sack towel).
