Patriotic Pops

You know your life is hard when a store discontinues your favorite frozen treat. We used to love Safeway's Signature Select - Blue White Red Ice Pops. For some reason they were the most perfect of them all.
Naturally we had to try these other options and rate them.
Coming in at #1 is OBVIOUSLY Trader Joe’s Out of this World Ice Pops: They cost around $4: 6 pops per box. The flavors are Lemon, Blueberry, Strawberry. (STRAWBERRY!) They were the right texture, weren't too hard or icy, have natural fruit ingredients. No regrets.
J: 4.5 stars
R: 5 stars
Pros: Strawberry & Lemon
Cons: Seasonal

Next up #2 was The Original Bomb Pop: These pops have Cherry, Lime and Blue Raspberry flavors. To me, they had a more sherbet texture. These are the ones that were requested by husband after all of the testing was said and done. That is likely because our Trader Joe's is 30 minutes away.
J: 1.5 stars
R: 4 stars
Pros: Texture
Cons: No flavor difference between colors

Coming in at #3 was
Popsicle Firecracker: These had a more traditional popsicle/icy texture than the Bomb Pops. They feature Cherry, White Lemon and Blue Raspberry flavors. I like that the segments in these popsicles were pretty horizontal (you can see this in the cross-section photos I took.)
J: 2.5 stars
R: 3.5 stars
Pros: Jokes! Each color/flavor is contained to the same section
Cons: Meh

You may be shocked to find out that #4 is
Great Value Freedom Pops: Of course the Walmart brand is going to suck. No fruit flavor although it was labeled as Cherry, Lime, Blue Raspberry. The cherry tasted like fake banana. I don't know how badly someone has to screw up to make cherry taste like banana. 12 popsicles per package. $2.48 - the least expensive of them all.
J: 1 star
R: 1 star
Pros: ....
Cons: The cherry tastes like fake banana. Icy/Hard
