My stepmom makes these delicious carrots for some holidays. I never thought I would say "I want some carrots," but today, I sought out a recipe and found this one. This is also a good way to use a bag of carrots you bought, but didn't have the energy to eat.
16 ounce bag baby carrots
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Bring carrots, water, butter and brown sugar to a boil in a pan over medium-high heat. You can also add pumpkin pie spice, honey instead of brown sugar and/or cinnamon. Turn to low and simmer for approximately 6 minutes. Turn back to high and cook 5 to 6 minutes until all the water is evaporated and carrots are tender. Salt and pepper, and enjoy!
